On May 8th we had the pleasure to host, in collaboration with Sioo, renowned author and systems change expert Adam Kahane at Nyenrode Business University. He presented his latest book, ‘Everyday Habits for Transforming Systems’. The book offers powerful insights into how individuals and organizations can foster meaningful change.
Watch an impression of the event here:
Adam Kahane is internationally recognized for his work in facilitation, multi-stakeholder collaboration, scenario planning and mediation. Kahane has authored several influential books on transformative leadership and complex systems change.

How can you contribute to creating a better world? In his latest book, Kahane adresses some of today’s most pressing global challenges. Whether you’re busy tackling goals for sustainability or shaping the future of pensions and digitalization, Everyday Habits for Transforming Systems introduces seven habits to guide succesful system transformation efforts.
Kahane elaborated on the seven habits in ‘radical engagement’ with the audience of circa 100 professionals – from businesses, public organizations and academic institutions – and under the facilitation of Reos Partners’ Yannick Wassmer. By presenting the do’s and don’ts, he emphasized the book’s core message:
“Radical engagement with a system doesn’t mean participating in that system distractedly, resigned, knowing it all, hierarchically, at arm’s length, with arms crossed, superficially, impatiently, saying take it or leave it. It means taking part in it alertly, with hope and curiosity, horizontally, leaning forward, hands-on, digging deep, persisting, and above all reciprocally and relationally.”

We want to thank Adam Kahane, all participants, Reos Partners, Sioo and Nyenrode Business Universiteit for their valuable contributions to this inspiring event.
